Welcome to Every Clubber’s Dream: Cavo Paradiso
Welcome to the endless party that celebrates life and summer in Mykonos
May 29, 2017
Cavo is a Greek word that can mean many things – a hollow or a rope used for a boat to dock. So, what do you get when you translate Cavo Paradiso? Port of Paradise, and that’s exactly what the global party community enters into when they step foot into this club.
Home to legendary DJs like Benny Benassi, Steve Aoki, Sebastian Ingrosso and David Guetta, it's easy to see why electronic dance music fans fly to Mykonos every year to experience (at least) one night at Cavo. Even beyond the fans, Cavo’s deck are graced by the most famous and sought after DJs on the planet.
This place is packed from elbow to elbow on its 3,000-plus capacity dancefloor, but no one complains, it’s part of the energetic atmosphere and everyone is passionate about the music and the party. Whether you’re a jetsetter or committed follower your favorite artists, you CANNOT miss a performance at Cavo.
What Makes It So Special? The Architecture
In addition to top talent playing mixes night after night, after night, one of the most distinguishable aspects about the club is its architecture. Cavo Paradiso has been renovated several times in the last two and a half decades, with the last renovation taking place a couple of years ago.
The venue was constructed in the shape of a boat, a fully decked out boat of course. It has distinct Cycladic characteristics, from the white washed interior walls, an incredible mosaic floor, a fully sized swimming pool in the shape of the island of Mykonos, and the "captain's quarters,” where you'll find the DJs spinning their decks in all their glory.
And now for the best part. Cavo is literally built into the Cliffside, revealing an endless backdrop of the Aegean Sea with a view that shows where the sky meets the horizon. During its’ construction, many questioned if it was possible, but like any true dreamer with a vision, they made it happen and proved all the realists wrong.
Today, the island’s rocky landscape and idyllic white architecture have become one of the premier party destinations in Europe — if not the world. And at the center of it all is, of course, Cavo Paradiso.
Reputation With Reason
Almost every single one of the world’s top DJs spun in the Captain’s Quarters - from Paul Oakenfold back in the day to Steve Angello, and Tiësto. Go back a few years, and even the late Frankie Knuckles came to Cavo during the early years of Chicago house.

Swedish House Mafia. Carl Cox. David Guetta. Eric Prydz. David Morales. Benny Benassi, Steve Aoki. Sebastian Ingrosso. R3HAB. Cedric Gervais. Armin Van Burren. Axwell. The list goes on and on.
Now, outside of being a fan favorite, Cavo Paradiso has been celebrated and rewarded by the industry as one of the most impressive clubs globally. Last year, it was ranked #13 best club in the world in 2016 DJMag poll.
